I must admit that I have a "history" with this piece. I played it in a high school competition (very well, I thought) and got a bad grade because the judge didn't understand the grading system. EVERYBODY got a low grade. Disappointed, I couldn't even look at the music for years and years.

But that was long ago and it was about time for a new edition of this delightful work. It's been completely re-engraved and edited, some instruments have been added to make it more attractive to college and community orchestras, and if you don't have your own cadenzas you can use mine. I've finally laid my demons to rest!
