For Flute Choir
By Judy Nishimura
Piccolo, 4 C Flutes, Alto Flute in G, Bass Flute, and optional Contrabass

This is my first full-length original work for Flute Choir and I'm very proud of it! The concept stems from my admiration of Mendelssohn's tune-driven "Songs Without Words." There are three short movements, each with a "wordless" theme:
NO TALKING IN THE MORNING - A musical version of rush hour in the big city.
UNSPOKEN AFFECTION - When the heart soars, it can be difficult to get the words out. When you have a nice melody, you don't have to say anything.
SHUT-UP AND DANCE - This is a lively jitterbug dance complete with crabby piccolo. It's really a hoot.
